Lisa McLaughlin, of Omaha, and her cousin Kristin Riggle of McClelland, Iowa discovered that their great great grandmother, Ella Mattisdotter Pearson had been a patient at the old Hastings Regional Center in Ingleside, Neb., now known as Hastings, Neb. McLaughlin and Riggle place the first tombstone at the cemetery in honor of their great great grandmother on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017. Patients who died while at the Hastings Regional Center were buried in the cemetery nearby and identified with a numbered brick.
