"My mom was waiting there to go to America for 10 years"

Amina Mohamed, 25, a Somalian refugee, spent 10 years in Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya before coming to Nebraska in December of 2016. Amina's mother, Halima Ibrahim, and niece, Naimo Mohamed, were supposed to arrive in Omaha on Wednesday, however, due to President Trump's executive order and travel ban, they were told that their flight was cancelled. "She was waiting to get a good life, to go to America. Unfortunately, the President's order has cancelled her flight and now she is suffering there." Amina said, of her mother. "She has nowhere to go back."
