Gamers connect for community, charity

Gamers haul their computers, monitors, keyboards and even office chairs to Elkhorn, Nebraska, to game in person and raise money for local charities. Over 500 attended NETWAR 32.0, a 27-hour LAN (Local Area Network) party where gamers connect their computers to the same network as opposed to the internet. The event has raised over $70,000 for charities since 2011. NETWAR is the Omaha, Nebraska, chapter of the national 501(c)3 non-profit LANFest.
